Blue Horizon Environementall Film Festival (formerly the LIttle Fort Film Festival) reflects a broader mission—one that looks beyond a single place and toward the future of our Great Lakes. "Blue" represents the water, skies, and Earth that connect us all. "Horizon" symbolizes possibility, innovation, and the next generation of environmental solutions.

While our name has changed, our purpose has not.

We remain committed to bringing together filmmakers, scientists, educators, artists, students, and community leaders to explore the ideas that will shape more sustainable Great Lakes. Through powerful storytelling, meaningful conversations, and educational programming, Blue Horizon continues to inspire action—locally and globally.

The festival was born in Waukegan, Illinois, and that community remains an important part of our story. Blue Horizon simply allows our vision to reach farther.
